A part of speech is a word in a sentence or speech which has a name and a grammatical function.
1. Nouns: A noun can be defined as a word used to name persons, places, things, ideas and concepts, subjects, animals, etcetera.
2. Pronouns: A Pronoun is a word which can be used instead of a noun to avoid repetition. E.g. he, me, she, they, us, it, this, these, that, their, etc.
3. VERBS: A verb is an action or a doing word which shows the deeds, the condition of person or a thing, which is done to somebody or something. E.g. go, come, dance, play, eat, take, etc.
4. ADJECTIVES: An adjective is a word that qualifies a noun or Pronoun to give a fuller meaning. Example are:- readable, handsome, beautiful, tall, big, old, feasible. etc.
5. ADVERBS: An adver is a word that modifies or improves a verb Example are:- watchfully, lovely, excitedly, sensible, etc.
6. PREPOSITIONS: A preposition is a word used with a noun or Pronoun to mark its rotation with another word in the sentence. Example are:- by, inside, below, across, about, at, etc.
7. CONJUNCTIONS: A conjunction can simply be defined as a word used in joining words, a group of words or clauses together. Example are: and, but, as well as, because, while, etc.
